Scenario

NuvoTV (formerly Si TV) is an English-language cable network that caters to the bicultural Latino community in the U.S. with lifestyle, reality and comedy programming. The network produces 70% original content and also airs syndicated shows with Latino leads. When nuvoTV came to Piehead, they had a functional website that displayed their content but lacked style and a memorable personality. With three new shows set to launch simultaneously, they knew they needed a bold online presence to reach their young, digital savvy, English-speaking Latino audience. So we took it to task, and then some.

Strategy

Our goal? Create an edgy design. Showcase original content. Let it be shared. Piehead sought to deliver a hip visual style but also a solution that could serve nuvoTV's audience by spotlighting programming, offering schedule information and connecting fans to an online store. We also aimed to help nuvoTV's team keep the conversation with their customers current and flowing. With that in mind, we developed a custom content management system–that's fast, compliant and mobile-enabled. And, while nuvoTV was focused on their bicultural Latino community, we proposed social media programs that would grow their core audience yet stretch beyond their niche to general TV audiences nationwide.

Solution

Not only did Piehead deliver an eye-catching, contemporary re-design of mynuvotv.com, we helped them build a community and a wider audience than they originally targeted. The website design pulls in the social media apps but more importantly the Facebook and Twitter pages themselves have become new promotional and engagement channels that they had not utilized before. Our social media team developed robust Facebook engagements for all three new programs. We leveraged the programs' extra show footage to create teasable clips that would drive social network traffic from Twitter to Facebook, and ultimately to the TV set and the show itself. In roughly a three-month time span, we helped drive more than 1.3 million impressions. Now, that's bold!
